NZ Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Advanced Care and Support) (Level 4)

This NZQA-approved qualification prepares you to provide advanced, person-centred care and support to people with complex needs — and to grow into a senior support practitioner role.

Delivery Face-to-face & blended, at our Panmure campus. An online/distance pathway is available for learners employed in a relevant role.

Entry requirements

  • Be 18 years or older.
  • Hold the NZ Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Level 3), an equivalent overseas qualification, or have relevant care experience.
  • English language requirements apply in line with NZQA rules.
  • Have access to a digital device and reliable internet.
  • Pre-placement checks apply — including police vetting and character references.

Where this can take you

Graduates are prepared for senior healthcare assistant and senior support-worker roles across aged residential care, dementia units, hospice and palliative settings, and home and community support.

Your starting point for a career in care and support. This qualification builds the foundation skills of great care — and is the natural pathway into our Level 4 programme.
